Intuition: Your Success Compass

The podcast that connects you to your intuition.

Dec 4, 2019

I think that it's a good time of year for reflection. It’s about taking a little inventory and being honest with who we are, as well as shifting what we might want to take into the new year. Mirror work, if you're not familiar with it, it is literally the practice of meeting your own eyes in a mirror and hanging out there for a little bit to see. What your soul, your human self, what your emotions want to communicate to you with you for you about you. Mirror work is not the most technical thing to do, however, it can be very challenging to do. We don't often meet our own eyes in the mirror.  There are some very efficient methods and yet it involves looking at these beliefs and the misconceptions that are running around in our brain without any conscious mind. At some point there has to be a conscious, courageous and firmly believe that the messages and everything are in there are from our childhood. That is why it's powerful to practice the mirror work and to work through the process and to feel emotional during this process.  Affirmations are amazing. It is not going to help you to say an affirmation that your soul probably believes, but your human self doesn't believe. I don't believe in affirmations if you don't feel a sense of connection to them. Start off with making eye contact with yourself. Now say I am learning to love you. I am willing to take care of you. I am beautiful. I lovingly embrace my fears. I am enough. Try to keep it in the moment. The reflection is about what you are communicating. Maybe the mirror reflection can be about what is already brilliantly there, just waiting for you to see it.  Begin to develop a relationship with yourself. Because if you want to have a decent, loving, connected relationships with others, you better start at home. I encourage you to do this when you're walking by a mirror to make sure there's no spinach in your teeth or make that eye contact in the rearview mirror. Affirm to yourself that you are here, that you matter and that you are committed.
